Impact Stories
Impact Story #1 — “Mary Found Connection Again”
Mary, a 78 year old senior living alone, felt increasingly isolated after her husband passed away. She rarely left her home and struggled to use her phone to connect with family.
Through our Senior Companionship & Digital Literacy Program, Mary received weekly visits and hands on technology support. Today, she video calls her grandchildren, attends community wellness circles, and feels connected again.

Impact Story #2 — “A New Beginning for the Ahmed Family”
The Ahmed family arrived in Calgary unsure how to navigate school systems, public services, and cultural expectations. They felt overwhelmed and disconnected.
Our Newcomer Orientation Program helped them understand Canadian systems, practice English, and connect with community resources. Their children now participate in youth programs, and the family feels confident and supported.

Impact Story #3 — “Jason Found His Voice”
Jason, a Black youth struggling with identity and confidence, joined our Culturally Appropriate Mental Health Program. Through mentorship circles and resilience workshops, he learned to embrace his identity and build emotional strength.
Today, Jason is a youth leader who supports others facing similar challenges. He now uses his experiences to inspire young people, helping them build resilience, develop confidence and embrace their identities.
